Mayweather and JM Marquez
Next week’s boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez, may not live up to all the hype. Not because it doesn’t have the potential to be a very good boxing match, it really does, but because Mayweather’s fighting tactics of constantly “punching and immediately holding” will make it once again, another boring, lopsided Mayweather fight.
On the other hand, despite being about two weight classes the smaller man, Juan Manuel Marquez, as always, will give fans what they come to see, a good boxing exhibition. Marquez is an excellent counter-puncher and keeps adjusting to his opponents fighting style through out the fight. But at the end, I’m afraid that Mayweather’s cheap tactics and fastest bicycle in boxing, will be a bit too much for Marquez.
Of course, a Marquez knockout is always possible! And that’s exactly what he will need to beat Mayweather.
